Can't purchase criminal defense at a Florida mall

Two people recently went to a mall in Florida. It's not definite as to what their original purpose for being there might have been. It's logical to assume, however, that their outing did not end up quite the way they had planned. That's because after a series of events, they wound up in need of a criminal defense when police arrested them on suspicion of theft.

Police were reportedly in the area investigating a crime nearby. Officers claim they saw the two people fleeing from the mall. Authorities later reported that when the officers saw the two individuals, they noticed that they were driving in an erratic manner.

Initially, police thought perhaps the two people in the car had something to do with the crime they were investigating, so they followed them. At some point, police tried to pull the car over in a traffic stop but apparently could not because the car fled the scene. Officers eventually caught up with the car occupants and wound up arresting them, not in connection with the crime they had been investigating but on suspicion of theft at the mall.

The two defendants were apparently involved in a motor vehicle crash between the time they left the mall and when they were arrested. Others have faced similar charges in Florida and have avoided conviction by presenting a strong criminal defense in court. The best way to increase the chances of obtaining a similar outcome would be for a defendant to ask an experienced attorney to act on his or her behalf.
