Florida man who videoed himself on FB facing drug charges

Who knows why people choose to post questionable videos of themselves on Facebook or other live action networks. Some may do it because it gives them a thrill. Others want to make public statements of some sort. Some, however, wind up regretting their decisions when something they show in a video may later be used to incriminate them. One man in Florida was waving wads of money around on film one moment and then facing serious drug charges the next.

The man was seen in a Facebook live video showing the world gobs of cash he held in his hands. He can be seen in the film smiling and talking about his seemingly endless cash reserves. All of a sudden, the situation becomes intense when the voices of law enforcement officers are heard shouting in the background.

Authorities say the officers had a search warrant for the premises. Witnesses say they tossed smoke bombs into the man's home before entering themselves. Police claim they seized a firearm, ammunition, illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia from the residence.

The man has been charged with felony possession of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance and other crimes. Police say the man has an extensive criminal record. It remains to be seen how the court will rule regarding the current drug charges against him. In such situations, it often helps to request assistance from an experienced Florida defense attorney who can combat aggressive tactics and strategies set forth by prosecutors in their quests to secure convictions.
