What does President Trump have to do with a heroin bust?

Since the recent presidential campaign and election took place, there have been images of now President Donald Trump everywhere, from online to plastered across billboards, coffee mugs and T-shirts. A recent incident occurred in Florida, however, involving an alleged heroin bust that included his image and name in the most unlikely of places. A six-month drug investigation culminated in the peculiar revelation.

Any casual reading of current local news would probably include stories of drug investigations and raids resulting in arrests. This state is known for many things, one of which happens to be serious drug issues. A recent arrest included something that is not so usual, however. Drugs officers claim to have seized during their investigation included images of President Donald Trump, as well as his name.

A spokesman for the sheriff's office said more than 5,000 packages of heroin were confiscated in the investigation. The state Attorney General said the person or persons who chose this particular moniker to label drugs has made a serious mistake. The recent drug bust is said to have been the largest in the county's history.

A 46-year-old man is the one facing heroin charges in connection with the investigation. He was also arrested on suspicion of cocaine possession and operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license. Whether in Florida or any other state, criminal charges do not constitute guilt, and anyone facing similar legal challenges as this man has the right to present as strong a defense as possible to avoid conviction and mitigate the potential negative repercussions of his or her situation.
