Criminal defense: Florida man accused in death of girlfriend

Being accused of a serious crime, such as murder, will leave an individual reeling. After such a charge is brought against someone, that person may feel as if he or she must make several decisions in a short amount of time. As a result, it is not unusual for individuals in such a predicament to feel overwhelmed. Luckily, there are options for assistance when it comes to creating and presenting a criminal defense and reviewing other legal options.

One man in Florida may soon be working on his case after recently being charged. Reports stated that the man informed police that he had found his girlfriend after she had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. The man allegedly stated that he found the woman at least a day before filing the report. He claimed that he found her but had been uncertain about what to do next.

Authorities investigated the scene where the woman's body was found and purportedly determined that the man's story did not match with evidence found at the scene. The man stated that he and the woman had argued, so he left the home. After returning some time later, he stated that had found the woman's body with a gun in her hand. However, authorities do not believe her death was a suicide. As a result, the man was taken into custody and is currently facing a charge for second-degree murder.

In order to defend against the serious allegation levied against him, the man may wish to find out as much information relating to his case as possible. In addition to becoming more knowledgeable on the specific allegations and possible evidence, he may also wish to consult with an experienced Florida defense attorney. Professional assistance may allow him to better understand his criminal defense options.
