Drug charges brought against 3 individuals in Florida

Three individuals in Florida may be contemplating how to handle their legal predicaments after recently being taken into custody. Reports stated that two men and one woman are facing drug charges after police were tipped off that the individuals may have been involved in drug-related activity at a hotel. As a result, all three parties were stopped by police.

The first man was reported as being 45 years old, and he was driving a vehicle when he was stopped. During the stop, police searched the man and reportedly found plastic bags that tested positive for heroin and methamphetamine. Authorities then searched the man's vehicle after purportedly obtaining a warrant and allegedly located cocaine, heroin, cannabis and drug paraphernalia. The man is currently facing charges for drug possession and driving on a suspended license.

The two other individuals were also stopped while in a separate vehicle. The woman was driving and had a male passenger. Police reportedly also searched that vehicle and located a baggie containing fentanyl, methamphetamine and an unknown substance. The woman and man were both charged with drug possession. The woman is facing an additional charge of driving on a suspended license.

As each case heads to court, the individuals involved may benefit from exploring their options for defending against the drug charges. Each party may have different routes that he or she feels may be best for the circumstances, and gaining more information on those avenues could be useful. They may each also wish to consult with an experienced Florida attorney in order to gain professional insight into their cases.
