Woman accused of drunk driving after Florida crash

One woman in Florida may be exploring her criminal defense options after recently being accused of DUI. The drunk driving accusation stems from an accident in which the woman was reportedly involved. She had allegedly been driving a SUV when that vehicle crashed into an apartment. There were multiple individuals inside the apartment at the time, but they were not injured.

The woman reportedly driving the SUV had a broken right foot that she had suffered before the accident occurred. She was apparently driving while that foot was in a cast. She purportedly stated that she was on her way back from the store where she had gone to buy over-the-counter pain medication because she did not like her prescription medicine.

Authorities questioned the woman after the accident and suspected that she was under the influence. She was allegedly unable to perform sobriety tests in a satisfactory manner, and a breath test purportedly indicated that her blood-alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit. As a result, she is currently facing multiple DUI charges as well as other allegations. She was taken into custody on a $3,500 bond.

In order to address the drunk driving charges that have been leveled against her, the woman may wish to look into criminal defense options. Creating and presenting a defense could help her combat the charges if that is a route she wishes to follow. Additionally, discussing her case with her legal counsel could result in a better understanding of the allegations and Florida criminal court procedures.
