Man charged with felonies after allegedly molesting 2 girls

One man in Florida faces charges after he allegedly molested two girls. The man accused of felonies owns a boxing and fitness club and is said to have behaved inappropriately with two girls who were training at the club. He was arrested on a recent Thursday.

The 53-year-old man was charged with two counts of the crime of felony lewd molestation involving a person 12 years of age or older but younger than 16. Both of his victims, 12 and 15, were attending his facility for instruction in boxing. Both girls reportedly told police that he had touched them in a inappropriate manner multiple times there.

One of the victims said the man had touched her a minimum of 10 times. She said this occurred while he was taking her measurements. Both of the girls said that the club could have other victims. Police began to investigate the man after the older girl's mom contacted police. The man is now in jail.

People who are accused of committing felonies may not be convicted in a court of law unless the government can prove their charges beyond a reasonable doubt. If convicted of a crime such as molestation, a person in Florida may face at least a few years in prison and even thousands of dollars in fines. A person may also strike a plea deal with prosecutors in exchange for sentencing considerations. The criminal defense will help the accused individual to pursue the best outcome, considering the circumstances, and ensure that his or her rights are not violated in the criminal court system.
