3 people facing cocaine charges after police raid Florida home

Florida authorities say that three people they recently arrested share something else in common besides their last name, and that is drug trafficking. Of course, as in all criminal proceedings, charges are mere accusations, which must actually be proved in court before any conviction is possible. The three people in this particular situation will each have the opportunity to fight against the serious drug charges involving cocaine that were filed after the incident.

In this particular situation, two males and a female whose last names are the same are accused of trafficking cocaine and other controlled substances. Police reportedly produced a warrant to search the residents' home. They were apparently pursuing a tip they'd received from a local sheriff's department narcotics unit.

Those who searched the premises claim they seized nearly $250,000 in cash. They also say they found multiple guns and other firearm components. Detectives added substantial amounts of raw marijuana to their list of seized items as well.

The two men, ages 40 and 64, and the woman, age 62, were arrested and charged on a recent Wednesday. Facing cocaine and marijuana charges in Florida is no small matter. Defendants in such situations often find their chances of avoiding conviction higher if they enlist aggressive assistance from experienced criminal defense attorneys. When the stakes are high, it's typically best to find an attorney who has gone to bat at both state and federal levels in other high profile cases. This may mean the difference between preserving one's freedom and spending extended time behind bars, if convicted.
