Police are pleased that a recent raid resulted in drug charges

No matter how a recent Thursday began, it didn't end so well for six people in Florida. All of them now face drug charges after police entered a man's apartment. Police say they consider the man a high-profile drug dealer in the area.

Saying someone is a high-level drug dealer and proving it beyond the shadow of a doubt are two very different things. When a person is formally accused of a crime in this or any other state, all law enforcement agents and court officials are to presume that person's innocence unless otherwise proved in court. A lot goes on between the moment drug charges are filed and the moment a judge hands down a ruling in the case.

In fact, some situations are adjudicated without ever going to trial. There are many incidents where attorneys acting on the behalves of defendants convince the court that police violated personal rights in some way during or following the arrest process. This often leads to a complete dismissal of charges or evidence being deemed inadmissible if a case does proceed to a trial.

The man and five others arrested along with him at his apartment will have the opportunity to present as strong a defense as possible. It will definitely be a challenge as authorities claim they seized approximately $30,000 in ecstasy, cocaine, marijuana, as well as various firearms. The man's bail was set at $441,000. When this type of situation arises in Florida, those facing drug charges often request immediate assistance from defense attorneys who are highly experienced with successful records for avoiding convictions.
