Man arrest for violation of domestic violence order and abduction

A Florida man who had filed a protective order against his estranged wife was recently involved in an incident that resulted in his arrest. There are several serious allegations against him, and he has apparently faced multiple accusations of domestic violence previously. He also reportedly pleaded guilty to wire fraud charges within the past year.

The recent situation unfolded when police received a call from people who claimed to have witnessed the woman being forced into a sports utility vehicle by the accused. The license plate number of the vehicle was given to police and a search began. Reports of the search were publicized, and someone apparently later recognized the licence plate number in the report on a vehicle parked at an inn and notified police.

They drove to the inn and secured the only exit. Both the woman and the man were located, and he was taken into custody into custody. The woman is the mother of five children, and the man is accused talking one of them -- their 14-year-old daughter -- into driving her siblings to another location and leaving a house window open beforehand.

The man is accused of using the open to window to gain entry to the house and abducting the children's mother. He now faces charges for violating a domestic violence order, grand theft and kidnapping. Both he and the woman had knife wounds on their bodies when police arrived. Authorities say they believe the knife wound in the man's neck was self-inflicted. Typically, a person facing such serious charges in Florida would likely request immediate assistance from a defense attorney after being arrested.
