Multiple arrests and drug charges filed in Florida

A recent Friday didn't go so well for four men in Florida. They were apparently at a house when detectives showed up to execute a search warrant. The situation resulted in their arrests. Drug charges filed against them.

Those involved range in ages from 25 to 42. Authorities say the men attempted to run away from the scene when detectives arrived. They didn't get far before they were intercepted by police.

A special unit from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office had reportedly been investigating the house for more than a month. The search allegedly uncovered substantial amounts of illegal drugs and firearms. Rock cocaine, marijuana, Fentanyl and oxycodone were among the drugs detectives say they seized from the premises. Authorities also say three firearms that had been stolen were recovered in the search.

It is during such searches that personal rights are often violated, thus creating grounds for challenging the prosecution's evidence as inadmissible. The men have a long road ahead of them and will likely need experienced defense guidance to successfully fight against the many charges they now face. Allegations include grand theft of a firearm, resisting arrest and various drug charges. Seeking assistance from a skilled criminal lawyer is something many defendants do as soon as they are charged with drug crimes in Florida. This is because a particular outcome may hinge upon the type of defense presented in court, and chances of obtaining a positive outcome are typically increased when one allows an attorney to act on his or her behalf.
