Sex crimes: Man accused of sexual battery, kidnapping in Florida

In order to contend with criminal allegations, individuals often want to find out as much information about their cases as possible. This knowledge could help individuals accused of sex crimes or other alleged violations prepare for their court appearances. One man in Florida may be hoping to prepare to the best of his ability after recently being taken into custody.

Reports stated that the 24-year-old man had allegedly met a 19-year-old woman at a bar. The two then reportedly got into the man's vehicle, and he purportedly sexually assaulted her. Reports indicated that he is accused of raping the woman. An officer who was apparently near the location at the time of the alleged attack attempted to intervene, but the man reportedly left the scene.

The man was recently located by authorities, and he was taken into custody. He was over 100 miles away from the reported scene of the attack, and, as a result, he is currently waiting extradition back to the county in which the charges will be filed. Reports stated that he is facing allegations of sexual battery and kidnapping. It was also noted that the man had been arrested for dating violence last year.

The allegations brought against this young Florida man may leave him wondering how to proceed. Information on the specific sex crimes charges being leveled against him may allow him to better understand his predicament and what criminal defense tactics could suit his case. Additionally, he may wish to consult with his legal counsel in order to gain more specific insight into his case.
