NFL great Lawrence Taylor facing drunk driving charges in Florida

Facing criminal allegations is a predicament that accused parties often want to handle to the best of their abilities. Therefore, individuals who have been accused of drunk driving or other charges may want to put their best foot forward by making appropriate preparations for their court appearances. There are various ways in which to do so, and individuals may want to take time to find the route with which they are most comfortable.

NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor may soon be considering his options after recently being taken into custody in Florida. Reports stated he struck two vehicles while attempting to change lanes in his Bentley. The vehicles hit were reported as being a police patrol car and a motor home. Only minor damage and no injuries resulted from the incident.

It was unclear what may have caused the suspicions to arise, but Taylor was taken into custody for drunk driving. It was not reported whether he underwent any field sobriety tests or blood-alcohol testing. Nonetheless, he was reportedly booked into the Palm Beach County Jail. It was also noted that this was not the 57-year-old man's first run in with law enforcement.

As Taylor works to deal with the drunk driving accusations brought against him, he may wish to learn more about his defense options. In order to create a meaningful presentation, consulting with his legal counsel would be a wise first step. Reviewing and assessing his case and possible options will likely allow him to better navigate the Florida criminal court process.
