Florida man and woman facing heroin, neglect charges

The legal process pertaining to criminal charges can be intimidating for anyone. Those who have been accused of illegal activity often want to approach their cases with their best foot forward, but it may not always be easy to determine how to do so. Luckily, individuals facing charges for heroin, other drugs and/or additional allegations do have options when it comes to preparing their defenses.

Two individuals in Florida may be hoping to take the best routes for them after recently being taken into custody. Reports stated that authorities were tipped off that alleged drug sales were taking place at a residence. As a result, the police reportedly obtained a search warrant for the home. It was reported that two adults and five children lived in the condemned home, and when police searched it, the adults and two children were inside.

Police allegedly found heroin in "trafficking amounts" as well as firearms with ammunition where children could access them. As a result, the 25-year-old man at the residence is facing charges for trafficking heroin and child neglect. The 30-year-old woman also in the home was charged with child neglect. The children were taken by other family members.

The heroin and child neglect charges leveled against the Florida individuals may leave them wondering how to address their affairs. A first step that may be worth considering is consulting with their respective legal counsel to determine the most feasible methods for building meaningful criminal defenses. These defense presentations could allow them to work toward their desired outcomes in a more effective manner.
