Florida man and woman facing drug charges after traffic stop

The legal proceedings for handling criminal charges can be a complicated process to work through. Individuals facing drug charges or other allegations may not have considerable knowledge on how to approach their legal affairs. However, they do have choices when it comes to seeking assistance and working on their criminal defenses.

Two individuals in Florida may be assessing their options after recently being taken into custody. Reports stated that a 29-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were in a vehicle with two infant children when the driver reportedly did not stop at a stop sign. An officer stopped the vehicle, and for unknown reasons, the officer apparently requested to search the vehicle. The man and woman allegedly consented to the search.

The officer purportedly found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle during the search. As a result, the man and woman were both charged. The allegations leveled against them include trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, and the woman was also charged with a probation violation. Bonds were set at $51,000, though the woman was held without bond on the probation violation. It was noted that the children were picked up by a family member.

These two individuals will likely hope to make a significant impact when it comes to handling the drug charges. Therefore, they may wish to prepare for their cases to the best of their abilities. Finding out information on their legal options may be a wise place to start. Additionally, they may wish to speak with experienced Florida defense attorneys in order to gain further insight.
