Felonies: Florida man charged with animal cruelty

When working to address serious criminal charges, individuals may have a lot of information coming to them at one time. They may feel bombarded, and the ability to make clear decisions may escape them. Luckily, individuals facing charges for felonies or other allegations have options for seeking assistance when it comes to dealing with criminal legal matters.

One man in Florida may be exploring his options for such assistance after recently being taken into custody. Reports stated that the man had been visiting Busch Gardens with his family when he allegedly began touching the flamingos. He reportedly picked up one bird before setting it back down, but he is accused of then picking up a second pink bird and slamming it onto the ground. As a result, the bird suffered serious injuries and had to be euthanized.

Authorities do not know why the man picked up the bird. He was taken into custody and is facing a felony charge for animal cruelty. He has already made a court appearance, and his bail was set at $5,000. At the time of the report, the man was still being held in custody.

In order to contend with the charge brought against him, the man has several legal routes he could consider when it comes to his criminal defense. Because the process can be overwhelming, the man may wish to look into more information regarding how Florida criminal courts handle felonies relating to animal cruelty. He may also wish to speak with an experienced defense attorney if he would like assistance navigating the legal proceedings.
