Drunk driving charges filed against Florida man after crash

Breath tests are often utilized by police officers in an attempt to determine whether an individual may have been driving under the influence. In many cases, the results of these tests could lead to arrests, and individuals facing drunk driving charges may wonder how they could combat the allegations. As a result, these parties may wish to find out which criminal defense tactics could be right for them.

One man in Florida may be following such a route after recently being taken into custody. Reports stated that the man was allegedly driving a vehicle when he ran a red light and was involved in a car accident. A police officer responded to the accident scene and reportedly suspected that the man was under the influence.

The officer purportedly had the man undergo field sobriety tests, which he apparently did not perform well. It was also reported that the man's breath test results indicated a blood-alcohol level more than four times the legal limit. As a result, the man was taken into custody and held without bond on charges of DUI traffic crash.

As his case moves forward, the Florida man will likely want to handle his predicament in the most meaningful manner possible. Therefore, gathering information on his defense options may be a wise step to take to combat the drunk driving charges. If he wishes, he may also consult with his legal counsel in order to go over the specific details of his case and what legal strategies may be most useful to him.
