Cocaine trafficking charge leveled against Florida man

Facing criminal charges is a situation that could happen to anyone under certain circumstances. It is not unusual for residents to tip off police if they believe a crime is being committed, and as a result, authorities may investigate. If police suspect that an individual is participating in an illegal activity, it is possible for an arrest to occur. One Florida man is currently facing such a predicament after being accused of trafficking cocaine

Reports stated that complaints were filed with the police department after individuals suspected that the man was selling drugs. The tips caused authorities to begin investigating the man, and the results of the investigation allegedly led to a search warrant being issued. Officers acted on that warrant at the man's residence.

While searching the home, police allegedly found drug paraphernalia, including scales, baggies and razor blades. It was also reported that cash and powder cocaine were located on the premises. As a result, the man was taken into custody. He is currently facing charges for being a felon in possession of a firearm, cocaine trafficking and two other possession allegations.

Drug charges could lead to serious consequences if a conviction results from the trial. Because the Florida man undoubtedly hopes to avoid such an outcome, he may want to prepare for his court appearances as best as possible. Information on the cocaine charge and other drug allegations, as well as on his criminal defense options, may help him make more informed decisions as his case moves forward. Additionally, he may wish to consult with his legal counsel for more insight.
