Alleged domestic violence incident leads to Florida man's arrest

One man in Florida may soon be working on his legal case after recently being taken into custody. Reports stated that the 27-year-old man was arrested after a purported domestic violence incident that resulted in his allegedly striking his girlfriend with a vehicle. The man had reportedly became upset with the girl -- who was reported as being a teenager -- after a remark she had made earlier that day.

The couple apparently got into an argument that purportedly led to the man blocking the door to his home in order to keep the girl inside. The man then allegedly got close to the girl's face and tried to strangle her after she tried to push him away. The incident reportedly continued to get physical, and the man allegedly tore the girl's shirt and bra off.

The girl was later able to leave the home, and while walking to a bus stop, the man allegedly hit her with his vehicle and left the scene. The incident was purportedly witnessed by an individual who gave a statement to police. The girl went to the hospital for undisclosed injuries. As a result of the situation, the man was taken into custody and is currently facing charges for domestic battery, attempted murder and three other allegations.

The charges stemming from the alleged domestic violence incident could have a serious impact on the Florida man, if he is convicted. He undoubtedly wants to avoid such an outcome; therefore, he may soon be exploring his defense options. He may also wish to confer with his legal counsel in order to determine which strategies may be best suited to his particular circumstances.
