Sex crimes: Man charged with sexual assault in Florida

It was recently reported that a 25-year-old Florida man was recently taken into custody due to involvement in an alleged sexual assault. The man is currently facing charges relating to sex crimes after he purportedly had sexual intercourse with an underage girl without her consent. The two reportedly met through social media and later met in person offline.

According to reports, after having text message conversations, a 16-year-old girl and the man supposedly made arrangements to meet in person. The man allegedly picked her up from her school, and, after she got into his car, he told her to get into the back seat. The man then purportedly tried to have intercourse with the girl, but she resisted and exited the vehicle. The pair met up again, and, during this second meeting, the man allegedly had sex with the girl in the back seat of his vehicle although she said no.

The girl went to the police after the incident. The man purportedly attempted to have another meeting with the girl, but, when he went to the location, he was taken into custody. As a result, the man is facing charges for sexual assault and luring a child. At the time of the report, he was still in jail on a $17,500 bond.

Allegations pertaining to sex crimes can have detrimental results if a conviction takes place. Therefore, the man accused in this Florida incident will likely want to examine his options for proceeding with his legal case. Information on criminal court proceedings may help him better understand the process and what he can expect.
