Florida men charged with marijuana possession

The circumstances and details surrounding an arrest could play a critical role in how an individual handles his or her case. If that person has been taken into custody on charges for marijuana possession, he or she may want to determine whether the proper actions were followed by the authorities involved. Additionally, exploring options for creating and presenting a criminal defense could prove beneficial.

Two men in Florida may be looking for ways to handle their legal situations after recently being charged. Reports stated that the arrests came after police searched a home. Apparently a search warranted had been obtained -- though it was unclear on what grounds the warrant was obtained -- and police arrived at the residence. One of the men was reportedly on the porch of the home and was detained by officers.

Police then proceeded to forcefully enter the house and found three individuals inside. The search then reportedly proceeded, and police allegedly found marijuana, a handgun and drug paraphernalia. An 18-year-old man and a 24-year-old man were taken into custody on charges of marijuana possession with intent to distribute and drug paraphernalia possession.

If the men wish to defend against the marijuana charges that have been leveled against them, they need to determine which steps may best suit their individual cases. Becoming more knowledgeable on various defense strategies as well as on Florida criminal court proceedings would allow them to make better informed decisions moving forward. They may also wish to consult with their legal counsel on what legal moves would work in their best interests.
