Florida woman facing domestic violence charges

When dealing with a legal predicament in which an individual has been charged with a crime, he or she may have various options to explore. Each individual may wish to approach his or her case in a different manner; therefore, gaining as much knowledge as possible may be a prudent step to take. One woman in Florida may be looking into her options after recently being charged with domestic violence.

Reports stated that the woman had apparently become angry due to her husband having an affair. She purportedly wished to confront him about it, and in doing so, she allegedly threatened him with a gun. During the argument, she reportedly stated that she would maim and kill him and then she supposedly shot him in the knee.

As a result of the situation, the 60-year-old woman was taken into custody. She is currently facing charges for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and domestic violence. It was unclear whether the woman was still in custody at the time of the report. The condition of the man was also unknown.

Due to being charged with domestic violence, the Florida woman may find information pertaining to those charges helpful as she determines how to move forward. If she feels it could be right for her, she may also wish to discuss her situation with an experienced attorney who may be able to provide useful insight into her case and possible defense options. As always, the woman is considered innocent until -- and only if -- she is convicted by a court of law.
