Florida man accused of drunk driving in fatal accident

Facing charges for DUI could come with varying consequences depending on the specific conditions under which the alleged incident took place and whether a conviction occurs. One man in Florida may be hoping to handle such allegations in a meaningful manner after recently being accused of drunk driving. The suspicions apparently arose after the man was purportedly involved in a fatal accident.

According to reports, the accident took place when a 30-year-old man was operating a scooter and traveling east when he was hit from behind by another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle reportedly did not remain on the scene. The man on the scooter was possibly hit by two additional vehicles, and he suffered fatal injuries.

A 53-year-old man was recently taken into custody after being suspected of being the driver of the vehicle that left the scene. He is currently facing multiple charges, including DUI manslaughter. Though it was reported that authorities believed that alcohol was involved, it was not mentioned whether breath or blood tests were administered. It was also noted that the investigation into the crash is ongoing.

As the investigation continues, the man may wish to take time to prepare for his own legal predicament. Accusations of drunk driving and charges stemming from a fatal event may seem difficult to handle, and, as a result, gathering information on the charges and court proceedings in Florida may help the man feel more in control of his situation. Furthermore, consulting with his legal counsel on viable options that may work in his best interests could be a step to consider.
