Felonies: Florida officer charged with battery

Dealing with criminal charges is a predicament that can leave many individuals overwhelmed. Whether the accusations are considered misdemeanors or felonies, allegations of any type can be complicated and worrisome. Therefore, if individuals find themselves in such a spot, they may wish to determine what legal actions they can utilize in hopes of moving forward effectively.

One man in Florida may be hoping to handle his case in the most significant manner possible after recently being charged. Reports stated that the man is a police officer, and the charges stem from an alleged event involving another person that was taken into custody. Apparently, the officer put the other individual into handcuffs and then purportedly punched the individual multiple times. Additional details on when the incident supposedly occurred were not given.

An investigation was requested by the police chief, but it was unclear what may have caused his suspicions. Nonetheless, the investigation led to the officer being charged with felony battery. The man reportedly elected to turn himself in at a county jail. It was noted that he has since been released after posting bond.

The consequences that could come along with convictions for felonies may be stressful to consider. As a result, the man will likely want to do his part in working towards an outcome that he finds most agreeable. In order to do so, he will need to gather more information on his particular case and charges as well as on Florida criminal proceedings relating to his predicament. Consulting with his legal counsel will allow him to better understand what to expect and what may be expected of him.
