Florida man found in police dept restroom facing heroin charges

Individuals can find themselves in difficult situations at any time, and the circumstances of those situations may be complicated. If illegal activity is suspected, an individual could potentially have criminal charges brought against him or her and would possibly want to gain more legal knowledge. One individual in Florida may be considering what steps to take after being charged with heroin possession.

Reports stated that the 35-year-old man had apparently gone into a police department in order to use a restroom. While the man was in the restroom, an officer reportedly heard a loud noise come from inside. As a result, multiple officers apparently knocked on the door and shouted for a response, but no reply was heard. The officers opened the restroom and reportedly found the man unconscious on the ground.

While in the restroom, officers allegedly found a syringe, measuring spoons and plastic baggies. They also noted that the man was bleeding, and it appeared as if he had injected something into his arm. The syringe was reportedly tested and had a positive result for heroin. As a result, the man is currently facing charges for heroin possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges that have been leveled against the man could pose serious issues, especially if he is convicted. Therefore, gaining more information on heroin charges and how those allegations are processed in the Florida criminal justice system may help him better understand his case. If he would like additional assistance, he may also want to consult with an experienced defense attorney who could provide information specific to his circumstances.
